The large school division finals are set with Cov Cath and Campbell County winning tonight at Simon Kenton. Should be a great game next Saturday.

Anyone know how the other divisions went today?

I'll be at the Championship game next week!

The Colonels need to put together a nearly flawless game to win IMO. They need to control the ball, eat clock and wear down the Camels that go both ways. The O-line has to play great. Two weeks ago the Camels pretty much ran all over them, especially in the second half. It will be interesting to see what the Colonels do to contain the Campbell running game.

third year in a row for the 8th grade Colonels.

We walked into SK at the half of the Cov Cath/Turkeyfoot game. Turkeyfoot was up 6-0. Colonels came out and put up 30 unanswered points. Were there major changes in game plan in second half or did the Colonels just wear them down?

CovCath 7th vs Holy Cross in the small school finals

In the past, Cov Cath radio had broadcast some of these games. Will they be broadcasting this Saturday?

Here is the schedule for Saturday.

All games at Simon Kenton

Small division Holy Cross vs. CovCath 7th (home) 4:30

Medium division Holmes vs. Newport Catholic (home) 6:00

Large division CovCath 8th vs. Campbell County (home) 7:30

Looks like the Colonels 7th grade team won the small school championship. Newcath leads Holmes 6 to 0 with four minutes to go before the half.

New Cath is winning 12 to 6 at half time. I'm impressed with some of the athletes on Holmes team, especially number 25.

Campbell county beat the Colonels 15 to 14. It was a great game and CovCath really should have won. Congrats to the Camels though.

Congrats to the 8th grade Camels and Coach Aaron Caudill. The team never gave up Saturday night and scored the game winning TD with about 30 seconds to go.

I am really looking forward to watching these young men as they move into High School.

Congrats also to the 7th grade Colonels and NewCath. What a great atmosphere at Simon Kenton.
