Very good game and was really hard fought. This game featured a lot of big plays by both teams, and was exciting to see.

 

Newport now moves on to face Holy Cross in a huge district game to start district play off. I am not sure who Ludlow has next, however I will say that the 2 seed in 1A is wide open. Ludlow has a team that seems to keep getting better every week, and very well could end up with that 2 seed. It will be an exciting battle in that district.

Ludlow must of played a really good 2nd half. I heard the score was 21-0 Newport, in the 2nd quarter.

It was then Ludlow got an offensive touchdown, and then returned a punt for a touchdown in the 1st half. Newport scored another right before half to make it 28 to 12. Ludlow in the second half scored to make it 28 to 18, but then Newport responded and went up 35 to 18. Ludlow then got another touchdown in the 4th quarter to give the final score. Newport had a chance to put Ludlow away early, but Ludlow played hard and got back into it and made it an exciting game. Newport's offense over the last few weeks is starting to get going after a slow start this year due to inexperience. It is coming just in time for district play.

Newport now moves to 3 and 3 and has a big game next against Holy Cross, which has a real nice team.

He played well. Picked Newports secondary apart. Had a couple dropped passes that was right on the money as well.

 

# 6 (Yates?) was the best player on the field for Ludlow. Very nice player who does it all.
