I would think not. UK hadn't offered him yet so they were not in the equation. UL is loading up at the position. Bridgewater is a frosh now. Another good kid is coming in next year and Bolin the year after.

Im sure Uk fans are saying that. I have watched the kid play for 2 years. My sons were on the team a few years ago and I follow all the Lex. Cath sports. The strong point about this kid is his mechanics and his athleticism. This is a classic example of another kid that Ky wanted to wait on and swoop in at the last minute. From all I have read that he was a national recruit and on the top of the list for all the SEC schools.If you look at the offer sheets very few schools have offered 2013 QB's I think he has had several offers come in in the last few weeks. If he had decided on Ky he would have been considered great! The true UK fans will be happy for a local kid to go and play anywhere and wish him well. I can say for certain I will have my cardinal hat before long. There comes a point when you have to look at the Kentucky program and wonder why they have always waited on Ky kids. I have talked to this young man and believe me he is confident and doesnt have to wait on UK. Good luck Kyle!

Not familiar with LexCath's QB. What are his vitals (height/weight). How good is he? I'm sure he is better than Will Stein is right now for the Cards.

^ Well Louisville's also got Teddy Bridgewater playing right now and highly-regarded Will Gardner coming in from Georgia next year. Louisville is loading up at QB and I'm excited to have an in-state guy coming in for 2013.

I agree with you. The Cards are on the path to becoming a great football team again. It's always great to see in-state guys going to UK or UofL.

A lot of schools have the "wait-and-see" approach with the kid. UL didn't. It worked out for both.
