I tried to get my daughter-in-law to stuff a jersey in there with him so he could gear up before coming out, but she said no.

Yes she has. The reality of the situation is sinking in now, too. As of yesterday morning, Billy was just a new toy Mommy made her. Last night, she didn't care for all of the attention her new toy was garnering from everybody else.
