With what Garrard has returning, along with this schedule; this is their year to do something.

Two big concerns:

 

1) Will the defense be better? They improved a great deal defensively as the season went along but still allowed almost 34 points per games. If they can keep teams in the 20s the offense should be good enough to score. The problem over the last several years is that the offense has had to score so many points just to stay in the game. I expect that to change some this season.

 

2) Is the quarterback healthy? Junior QB Billy Abney has some lingering shoulder issues after basketball season. The last I heard (and admittedly, this has been at least two months ago) was that he might have to have surgery. If he is healthy, Abney is as good of quarterback as you'll see around this area. And he's primed for a breakout season. You just never know.
