Basketball season for 2011/2012 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Campbell County? Remember, please be constructive.

The Camels return a solid core under 2nd year coach Aric Russell. They will be led by Seniors Dalton Griffin and Jared White and Junior Nate McGovney (10th region HM as a Soph). They will not have a lot of size so I look for them to try and run their opponents off the floor. Other key contributors will be G Cameron Addie (sr), F Jameson Wright (sr), G Corey Holbrook (so) and F Rob Franzen (jr).

The 37th will be a 3 horse race between Campbell County, Bishop Brossart and Scott. I predict the Camels to break the Scott division streak and make a big run in the 10th tourney.

How many returning starters do they have?

Two. Griffin and McGovney.

What happened to all those SRs who played on those good middle school teams?

Seniors Kris Miller and Tyler Neltner have been playing summer ball and will also see minutes this year.

Others who have not been playing in the summer are Jeff Skinner, Josh Claybern and Adam Dullaghan. I do not know their status for the season.

Glad to hear Adam may be returning this year after taking off last year.

I believe this will be the best game in the 10th all year!!

I heard that Adam did try out and made the team. He will add some much needed size for the Camels this year.

Just got the word this morning he was issued a jersey. Glad to hear it for the big man. Did they make cuts or just advise kids that they will be rostered? I'm guessing they are still waiting on some football players?

Cuts were made yesterday. I only expect 1-2 football players to participate.
