And a problem with liberals is that they can call conservatives, particularly the Tea Party movement, everything in the book, but then call out liberals, socialists or any other term for leftists, it becomes so wrong.

One more thing. Don't fall into the trap of "it's ok for them but not me." It also hurts discussion. I think this is an interesting discussion that has gone well so far despite varying viewpoints. I don't want cliched rhetoric to stifle it.
