No, not if he's still frequenting them it doesn't. It does makes sense that he would get VIP treatment at them though.

Exactly. If he's going to act solely on behalf of the residents of a part of the state with extremely antiquated ways of thinking compared to the rest of the state, he should abdicate his Senate leadership post in favor of someone whose philosophy more closely reflects the state. They're already voting in huge numbers if you read the license plates at the Indiana casinos.

 

Not the way politics works. At any level. Never has and don't see that it ever will. The people who need pressure applied to them are the senate republicans who give him the power. Their constituents should be letting them know how they feel. Except that would actually take effort.
