Tates Creek senior Marcellus Barksdale had an epiphany early in the fourth quarter of the 43rd District semifinals against Lexington Christian Academy Tuesday night.

"I looked at the scoreboard, and we were down (33-29) with about seven minutes left," he said. "It put things in perspective. That was how much time was left for our seniors. We weren't going down without a fight."

Tates Creek's Kendalle Mack scored over LCA's Max Barjuca in the first quarter of Tuesday's semifinal game at Lafayette. Mack finished with five points for Creek, which was led by Marcellus Barksdale's 19. MATT GOINSBuy Photo

Expected this to be closer. Good win TC

The return of Todd Bradley should gave Tates Creek a boost. I saw him in an air cast on their senior night and thought he was done for awhile, if not the entire year. Looks like I made a bad assumption.
