Wow! Look at that 3rd Qtr...a thing of beauty for Moore, a thing of agony for Shawnee and their fans.:eek:

Shawnee seems to have really slipped, although I'm well aware that Moore has a very good team. I know the 6th region isn't nearly as strong as the 7th, but Shawnee was a regional finalist a couple years ago and have been among the region leaders the last few years. I noticed while at the LIT that Montrelle Irvin is no longer their coach; maybe that has something to do with their demise.

Shawnee is playing a team full of sophomores. They struggled big time last year and graduated about 95% of their offense and rebounding. You do the math. The coach has very little to do with why they aren't winning.

I gotcha. I didn't realize they had lost so much. I figured there was a good reason for their struggles; I guess it's also understandable why the old coach left. Hopefully those young sophomores will become solid juniors and their program will get back on the right track!

The previous coach didn't teach at Shawnee. Their administration wanted to go a different direction and get someone in the building in the hopes of improving discipline among the players. Not sure if they have made any strides in that area or not.
