JokersWild24
Final from Lexington Catholic High School. Tates Creek seemed to control most of this one, and led for the vast majority of the game. They looked to have a comfortable lead in the 3rd (which off the top of my head was up to as many as 8 points), but some steals and timely threes brought Lexington Catholic back. With the score at 50-49 Tates Creek, Ryan Fucci was fouled and hit two free throws to push the lead out to 3 with only seconds remaining. Catholic rushed back and missed a contested three-pointer, and after Tates Creek rebounded the miss, they were immediately fouled and then converted two free throws, thus giving the final margin of 54. Walter
How did Barksdale do? He is the biggest reason I follow TC and root for them. Great kid and tremendous athlete.
JokersWild24
As with most Tates Creek games, Barksdale and Fucci seemingly facilitated everything. I don't know any statistical totals on points, rebounds, etc., but will say that he likely had the double-double type performance that you would expect, and was instrumental in Tates Creek having a decisive rebounding advantage on both ends. At the end of the day, his point and rebound totals may not be eye-popping, but they certainly won't measure how his overall performance impacted the game (i.e. taking Lex Cath out of certain looks in their full-court pressure by being able to extend out and handle the ball to the point that whomever was defending him was at a disadvantage or posting in the paint and putting up a shot as a double team was ran at him from the weak side that he missed, but had an open teammate whose defender had helped off grab the rebound and hit an uncontested put-back).
