Lexington Catholic didn't necessarily shut down Bowling Green's Chane Behanan in Wednesday's Republic Bank Holiday Classic semifinals, as the Mr. Basketball candidate and University of Louisville signee scored 20 points and hauled in 16 rebounds.

But the Knights kept Behanan in check just enough and made its pressure defense the headline story of a 69-57 win over the sixth-ranked Purples.

Ballard should take Lex Cath handily. All match-ups go Ballard's way. That said, playing at LexCath, LexCath will have 8 on the court!!

Have to agree with you Scout on all accounts, however I will say that the Republic Bank Holiday Classic is IMO the best Holiday Tourney bar none! Quality teams playing, first class facilities, friendly LexCath volunteers just a all around great HS Basketball to watch games at.

 

Theoldguy tip his hat off to the Old Guy's at the front desk and all the LexCath staff who makes this such a fun and entertaining tourney to witness.

 

My only request would be to update the scores of the games faster on the KHSAA scoreboard, or update them on your own LexCath web page!

Agree with the above post. This was my first time of going to the tourney multiple days and I fell back in love with high school hoops again after getting away from it for a few years. I absolutely had a blast at Catholic the past few days. The whole thing is 2nd to none.
