Carroll County brought their game to the court tonight and beat Gallatin County. Devine had a double-double. 30 pts. and 12 rebounds. Final round tomorrow night at 730 PM.

Carroll Co. Changed their starting lineup and it seemed to work. Thought the 2 freshmen for Carroll played very well. They showed a lot of quickness and good defense. Thought Gallatin would win this one easy after watching their first meeting and the way they played the night before against Ludlow.

Knew it would be tough to beat the Panthers twice in four days on their home floor. These two could potentially meet each other three more times this season and I'm sure each meeting will be a hard fought chess match. Hopefully, Brooke Hill will get healthy soon and give Gallatin another weapon for the Panthers to deal with. Congrats to Coach Mefford and the Panthers.

Carroll changed some defensive assignments the second time around. CC put #34 Curry on Dossett and she was able to stop her from penetrating and drawing a foul. Also by inserting #10 Ogden CC was able to match GC's quickness. Carroll limited Gallatin's second chance opportunities as well. Overall Carroll played a much better game and it was truly a team effort.

What's odd is CC matches up better with GC when Hill is playing.

GC has some really quick guards, they are very talented.

One reason as well that Dossett did not attempt to penetrate much was the fact that she is playing with bruised ribs from the Saturday game with Carroll. Gallatin took the lead early against Ludlow the night before so they were given the luxury of being able to run her in and out alot. Gallatin knew last night would be a different story.
