GRC will take on Memphis White Station this Saturday in the Ky/Tennessee Challenge at Warren Central at 6:00.

White Station defeated the #1 team in the nation according to Rivals in Melrose TN by 13 points. They lost by 5 points to the #5 ranked team in Findlay Prep.

Whitestation will be favored to win this game, your thoughts and predictions.

I found this article where White Station and player to watch Andre Hollins lost to Findlay Prep.

http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2010/dec/03/findlay-prep-beats-white-station-despite-play-holl/?partner=RSS

Andre Hollins had a growth spurt this summer. He’s still listed as 6-3, but his shoulders are now big enough to carry his White Station basketball team – with ease. National power Findlay Prep of Las Vegas will attest to Hollins’ abilities, surviving his career-best 46-point explosion for a 70-65 decision over the Spartans Thursday night in the Mike Miller Classic at Lausanne Collegiate School.

“He is one of the best four players this program has ever faced, and I’d compare him to one of our best in Avery Bradley, who’s now with the Boston Celtics,” said Findlay coach Michael Peck, whose team was ranked first in the ESPN preseason prep poll, and is ranked fifth in Maxpreps and Rivals’ rankings. “Hollins moved, hesitated, got himself open for his shot – and from 8-15 feet, he was money all night. If he’s not considered Top 10 nationally now, he will be.”

Minnesota-bound Hollins said, “about the middle of the first quarter, I felt like I could get my shot when I wanted, and it was a matter of just keeping it up.”

This will be a very tuff game for the Cards tonight. Can they pull the upset? Game will be around 7:00 EST. I hope to give updates. Not sure if there will be a web cast or not. If you are in the Central Ky range you can listen on 107.7

I picked the Cards in the poll but I think Memphis White Station might be a little too much.

This will be a great test for GRC because MWS is so athletic and long at both ends of the court.

I'm going to go with the following:

White Station- 73

Clark Co- 58

I also picked GRC in the poll with my heart but my head says White Station wins.

GRC is the underdog in this game, would be a upset if they win. Heard coach talking on his post game last night saying that they are big starting 6'9, 6'8, 6'8 down low.

As Walter stated they are a very quick and athletic team. As I stated with our brutal schedule we will have some lumps this year, but will only prepare us for post season.
