What does Bullitt East need to do to improve in 2010/2011? What do they need to keep doing to be sucessful? Remember, please be constructive.

Bullitt East has 3 really good sophomores in 6-8 Derrick Willis, 6-3 Rusty Troutman, and PG Trey Rakes. Nice group to grow with.

Troutman and Rakes are both solid players have seen them play several times. They also have a solid inside player in Washburn and a nice guard in Sweat they should have a chance to make a postseason run. But who is the Willis kid and where did he come from and how did he end up at East???

I agree with you, I have not seen Troutman or Rakes but the big boy Washburn will be a load in the middle. He trimmed down from what I read in the Cats Pause. Hayden Sweat is a big time PTP'er who averaged over 20 a game last year. The Willis kid was slated to attend Lou. Male from what I understood but BE is now the fine recipient of his services. This kid is lanky but talented. At 6'8 and just a sophomore, he can play facing the basket very well. He will be an All Region player by next season. I know he played with the KY Elite AAU team and led them in scoring many times.

I just saw that Demling has Willis ranked as the #5 player in the 2013 class. He is also young for his grade and his ceiling is very very high.

I saw that as well. I guess when you are 6'8 and have skills there is definitely a ton of upside and a high ceiling. I just saw where these guys are in the AIT so I am looking forward to watching them play. Highlands had a Home/Home with them in 08'09 but they arent on the schedule this season.

Wow, thats great for East but am just a little confused, no disrespect to Bullitt East at all but why would you decide on Bullitt East over a program that I think just won the district and made it to the regional final. Did he move or what?? If thats the case then watch out the stars are lining up for East to have a player of that caliber just fall in your lap. Would think that a player of that caliber would have had to be wanted by many schools. Can't believe that he didn't end up at St.X or Trinity

I was watching Derek with KY Elite this summer and Tom Crean paid a visit to watch him play in Ft. Wayne.
