Scheduling???? (LexCath and CovCath)

Featured Replies

Playing a tough schedule can be a benefit but seriously, who did the Colonels beat? Bwood who lost in round 2, NCC who has a shot to make the finals, Boone who is decent and Harrison Co.

You must also look at the remainder of their schedule: St X. ranked 10th nationally and No. 1 in Ohio d1, Moeller, who they were in the game against, and lost it through a tough penalty, in the game against Highlands, lost in the last minute, and Bishop Watterson, which wasn't much of a game. So the strength of schedule is incredible.

The strength of schedule can help a team, but they need a win or two over the good competition to help them know how to win a big game. Getting beat up on by the good teams all year and not gaining any confidence is not a big help. Lexington Catholic was the better team this year and they move on. They seemed to play with more confidence than the Colonels and I never once thought that their fans felt they were going to lose to Cov Cath even when they were down by 10 points. They just didn't seem threatened or worried about their season ending last Friday. Congratulations to Cov Cath on a good season. Best of luck to the Knights this week.
