VOR, which team do you think has a better chance at beating JC?

 

I haven't seen JC, but from what I know of the teams involved, I would lean towards Dixie having the better run defense and therefore the better chance of beating JC. I also think big time players step up in big games and Pike would be a difference maker.

Ok, missed it, did Pike get hurt?

Pike got hurt on a play at the one yard line on Dixie's last TD drive and is headed to the locker room. Dixie does have a very good backup QB in Corbin DeMatteo but he is not Zeke Pike.

 

CCH scored following Dixie's TD so the score is 28-27 Dixie with about 5:00 to go in the 3rd quarter.

Without Pike, this game is over. CCH couldn't stop him

End of the 3rd quarter. CCH just intercepted a pass and has the ball around the 25. CCH has a very good kicker. They are already in his range so they will almost surely take the lead on this posession.

 

If I heard the announcers right, Pike has a separated shoulder and concussion. That obviously changes my earlier thoughts about which team has the better chance to beat JC. Without Pike, it is definitely CCH.

 

And as I am typing CCH scores a TD and is going for 2. The 2 point conversion is no good. CCH leads 33-28 early in Q4.
