This one clinched the District Championship and number 1 seed in the playoffs for Somerset. The Briar Jumpers played pretty well for 3 quarters of the game but had a little bit of a letdown in the 2nd quarter when they let Wayne County score their 10 points. I don't think Coach Lucas was pleased with their effort in that quarter as he pulled the starting defense out and inserted the JV defense for the majority of a Wayne County offensive series. It evidently got their attention because the Cardinals were held to no points, no first downs and -10 yards offense in the 2nd half. 7 different players scored touchdowns for Somerset. One more regular season game against Jackson County next week then a week to heal up and get ready for the playoffs.
