With the new ranking out today. Central Hardin is now ranked in the top ten at #10 in 6A. They will take on Greenwood this week. Your thoughts and predictions on this game.

Do or die for the Gators. Central Hardin is always well-coached,but I feel the Gators will put the last couple of weeks behind them and pull out the close one 21-20.

I must admit, my faith in the Gators has been shaken. And they are starting to have injuries mount up in a big way. Ciochetty (DL/OL) out. Alford (TB) out. Spengler (Leading WR) out. Sweatt (QB/WR) out for season. And those are just the ones I know about, but all four are key players. Ciochetty has been the biggest loss to date, because he was their defensive anchor, and his absence has also weakened the strong left side of the Gator offensive line. Alford going down has increased the usage of Austin Howell and Jeremy James on offense, which may have an effect on their defense.

One thing the Gators will surely not be lacking is motivation. I'm not convinced that they'll miss the playoffs with a loss, as Meade County would have to knock off a difficult Nelson County team or Central Hardin to make that happen. All the same, I'm sure Greenwood would rather not place their fate in the hands of another team. The Central Hardin game has been close each year that this district has existed, so I expect another close game. But right now, I have to lean Central Hardin.
