Somerset 7 - Pikeville 7 about 5 min left 1st

Anyone heard anything else about this game?

Pikeville just intercepted a pass on their own 6 yard line. Somerset leads 14-7 4 minutes and change left in the half.

Boone Williams intercepts a Pikeville pass and Norman takes it in from about 14 yards, extra point is good--Jumpers 21 Panthers 7--3:34 seconds left in the half.

Somerset 21

Pikeville 7

Halftime

Somerset got the ball back, converted a 4th and 9 from Pikeville's 45 yard line. The drive stalled on the 17 and a field goal attempt was wide left. Somerset leads at the half 21-7. Ray Norman is just shredding Pikeville's pass defense since the first drive. Pikeville is fortunate to only be down 14.

The pass defense has been Pikeville's weak point all year and it looks like it will knock them out of the playoffs.

Like I said earlier giving up 52 to Hazard threw up a red flag for me. I felt like they'd have a hard time keeping Somerset under 35 points. I seems like Somerset has found something to pick on. However, there's plenty of time left I'm sure Pikeville will make some adjustments at the half. It will be Somerset's ball coming out of the break.

Pikeville was down 14 I believe at the half 2 weeks ago to Paintsville and came back to win but a TD, but that game was at home...I don't see them coming back tonight, I hope I am wrong though.

Deaton to Norman 50 yards for the touchdown, extra point is good. 28-7 Jumpers 11:43 to play in the 4th. Pikeville has absolutely no answer for Norman, he has at least 3 of the 4 (and I think he has all) of the Somerset touchdowns. Looks like the lack of pass defense will do Pikeville in.

Scotty Newell on about a 30 yard touchdown run, with the extra point Somerset leads 35-7 4:34 in the game. Time to take the starters out--Pikeville is starting to get a little chippy, 2 personal foul calls on that last scoring drive.

Paintsville's coming to town. Any houseboats for rent down that way?

The Jumpers are putting a beating on the Panthers...congrats to Somerset, I will be pulling for you guys from here on out. Hopefully Pikeville will have a good year in the weightroom and be ready to make some noise next year.

This one is a final 35-7, no stopping Norman on this night.
