Belfry going for their 4th straight against unbeaten (and largely untested) PCC on Friday. Whaddya think?

Belfry by 2 TD'S...

Pike Central is the most improved team in Eastern Kentucky. Even though they have never beaten Belfry, they have a team that could do it. Belfry escaped last season with a 24-14 win after years of dominating the Hawks.

Belfry's defense will be tested often through the air by PCC's air attack. Belfry has shown some weaknesses against the pass this season, but they haven't played a team this pass heavy. Preparing for a pass heavy team is much different than preparing for a more balanced team that throws it some. Pike Central will have to establish some run game to keep the Pirates honest, imo, to win.

Coach Chapman has shown in the past that he understands Belfry's offensive attack and he has been able to shut it down a few times. This is not your typical Belfry team either, they are a little more balanced offensively, in terms of mixing in the pass with the run than Pirate teams of the past. They have a good balance of power and speed in the backfield too.

This really could be a high scoring affair or it could turn into a ball control game that limits possessions. Either way, I think it will be a close game.

My prediction is Belfry 35, Pike Central 28
