Thanks Greybeard. The Pirates are learning. Sounded like tonight they did a good job in pass coverage, and they got a little pressure on the QB, but couldn't quite contain him, and for the 2nd week in a row, the QB torched them on the ground. They gave up two really big KO returns, one for a TD, one all the way inside the 20. Otherwise a pretty solid effort on defense.

 

The offense is coming together too. Their timing is better and the OL is doing a better job, the backs are learning to block for each other (which is key in Belfry's offense).

 

It is really fun to watch a young team as they learn and grow.

Sounds like Coach H. is doing his thing again. It'll be very interesting to see what this Pirate team looks like at year's end.
