Highlands 39 Conner 14 (JV)

Featured Replies

Birds lead late in the game 32-14, midway through 4th qtr.

Colin Seidl is playing and scored a rushing TD and has had a couple good returns.

Conner has played well and with a lot of heart as it was only 12-7 at the half Birds on top. Conner drove down and scored the first drive of the game.

JC Mettens scored his first TD of the year on a catch from McCoy. Ben Streeter has a 50+ yard TD run. Jihad Henderson was hurt in the game and left with a leg injury for Highlands.

David Christian who had 3 TD receptions last week vs Ryle has a couple nice 2nd half receptions.

Blake Myers just returned a fumble 50 yrds for a TD for the Birds. Assuming it is now 39-14.

This is a fantastic group of sophomores and the Collinsworth kid hasnt even suited up yet this season.

Thanks for the info!

Sorry if I missed it, but is Jac injured?

I do know that he was shown on NBC at the Notre Dame-Purdue game with his father, watching Austin Collinsworth get some playing time on special teams.

Looking forward to watching Mettens for the next several years! Good size already and very good hands!

Christian is the one to watch at WR out of this class. He has been hauling them in going way back to the Red team days. Mettens has good size as well and when you get Jac Collinsworth back in the lineup split out it will make them very effective.

The McCoy kid reminds me of the 06 qb for HHS whose name escapes me. The fact that they both are lefties is obvious but their style (better runner than passer) is similar.

Clay Cecil?

Clay Cecil?

Sounds right. #46?

41. jr in 06. Great athlete. Started at LB in 05. Moved back to QB in 06. Lead the Birds as QB in the 07 undefeated championship season

That's the kid. McCoy reminds me of him in style of play.

Good comparison, he has a stronger arm than Cecil though.

He throws a nice deep ball. Needs work elsewhere.
