5A Oldham County (1-1) travels to 4A Fairdale this Friday in what should be a pretty good ballgame.

Oldham won last year's matchup in Buckner.

Who wins? Why?

Pegasus Sports will not be airing this game, however, we will be broadcasting live reports from our remote correspondent throughout our broadcast of the North Oldham - Christian Academy game Friday night. We'll go LIVE to the Oldham-Fairdale game once each quarter and once in the pregame. http://www.pegasussportsky.com

No comments??? Nobody???

Buehler? Buehler?? Buehler????

Hard to predict what's gonna happen. I don't know anything about Oldham's season thus far and Fairdale has been on the good side of two blow-outs ( 44-0 against Spencer Co. in a scrimmage and 64-0 against Iroquois). I can say I believe this Fairdale team has the potential to be Coach Jonathan Miller's best he has coached. I'm anxious for Friday!

Fairdale is extremely proud of their defense, which Miller thinks will be his best to date. Hard to use Iroquois as a barometer, because I don't think the Raiders are going to be very strong, offensively, this year, but the numbers Fairdale reports on http://www.khsaa.org from that game are impressive, regardless:

rushing yards allowed (vs. Iroqois): -100

passing yards allowed: 0

Fairdale has speed and experience on defense, and that will challenge the Colonels. Oldham has strength and experience on the lines, and one of the better linebacking corps in metro Louisville. Scoring could be at a premium. The team that holds onto the ball may well be the team that wins.
