I thought Nelson County looked very strong. Excellent line play, they put on a clinic. With continued progress, I think Nelson has a chance for a run this year. Blake Martin would have made his daddy proud last night. My only concern, if I'm Nelson, is depth. How far can they go in 6A with as many two-way players as they have?

 

Bardstown never gave up, but they were badly outmatched on the line. Defensive lineman getting driven back into linebackers. If I'm the opposition, I look at that tape and do the same thing all year until Bardstown stops it. However, the Tigers never quit, and this game was only 14-7 after the first quarter. I thought Coi Young played a tough game at corner, a lot of solid downfield tackles. Marcus Cosby at wideout is going to be something special. Jordan Brewer played as well as you can under the circumstances. Next week is huge for everyone wearing purple and gold.

NC started strong, scoring 3 times in the first qtr and once in the second. The score at the half was 28-0. In the 3rd qtr B-town got it going and scored on their first drive. I believe NC got their last TD in the 4th qtr. NC's strong line, 3 RBs and a QB that can run was too much for the Tiger D. Brewer did a good job, he is always a threat to run.
