July 11, 201016 yr Author Glad you are having a great time, what an experience!! Enjoy and keep the updates comng. Thank You Well, we got back on the winning side today with a big win over Germany, hard to beat them in Germany with all of the noise and noise-makers they have during games in Europe, Serbia plays a very good Australia team led by Danial Hill, the shortest player out of the 12 teams, he will be at a college in the US, most likely west coast. UC is now interested in our big man Bezbradica, im sure there are others, but these three will have an inside track. Team Canada held the game close in the first half, It was about 48-42 at the half, then Team USA scored the first 9 points in the first minute and 30 seconds of the second half and the USA lead never dipped under double digits after that point. Cal and coach O are still here and were pleased with Gilchrist, 30 points 15 rebounds. Team USA will play Poland at 10 AM eastern time, and the game will be telecast live. If Poland starts out pumped up and on like when they played Serbia, it could be an interesting game. If Poland comes out of the gate like they did tonight against Lithuania, down 21-8 at one point, they will get blown away. I don't have the program in front of me so I don't have the names, but #10 for Poland can really spark his team, and thier big man #15 is pretty good too. They do have the size and talent to play with the USA, we will just have to see.

August 8, 201016 yr Author I had a GREAT time working with FIBA for this event! I was originally supposed to work with Team USA, but FIBA got a hold of me three days before I arrived and said they are having trouble finding someone to work with the team from Serbia. Since all 12 teams were in the same hotel, I would still be able to talk to the guys from Team USA, so I told FIBA I would work with the Serbian team. All of the players were great to be around, not only from Serbia, but all of the teams, talking to most of the USA player, and players form Australia, Egypt, Argentina, all of the European teams, and the Spanish team was a fun group to watch after Spain won the World Cup. One of the coaches from Egypt is a government official for Egypt and invited me to come there for an escorted tour of the area. A lot of these players will represent their countries in the FIBA men's games in 4 years, and in 6 years the Olympics, some may be in the Olympics in 2 years, some will be in the NBA. The Serbian team has a lot of really good players, and many of them want to come to the US and play in college, I am now helping some of them in finding colleges, I don't have to seach too hard either, many coaches are calling me about them . The biggest prospect as I mentioned in the past is Nemanja Bezbradica, a 6'8 1'2" solid PF, who has the tools now to play for a major D1 college this coming season (He also scored 21 on the USA team with a few monster dunks!). Bezbradica may even be heading over to the US to play a year of HS ball as well before heading to college. Among the schools wanting him are Cincinnati, Tennessee and UK. Coach Pearl wants him as his #1 priority, BUT, Cincinnati has an edge right now over all of the schools interested. Here is a photo of the team, Bezbradica is the one right behind #5.
