cooperstown
Yes, this score is correct and the game was every bit as one-sided as the score indicates. Ryle hammered and hammered the ball tonight. They knocked Knoebel out in the 3rd and then St. Henry's relief pitcher proceed to walk or hit 7 or 8 batters to make the score even more one-sided. But Ryle did legitimately crush the ball. Everyone hit, too many to mention. O'Bryan started and went 3 innings and Hill finished the final two. Ryle is now 20-9 on the season.
Clyde
Did Walt let any pitcher take a beating like he did last year against Ryle?
cooperstown
Did Walt let any pitcher take a beating like he did last year against Ryle? Knoebel is one of their top two pitchers. He just got hit very hard and also mixed in a couple of walks. Honestly, not to be rude, but it looked like their first reliever had never pitched before. He probably hit 4 or 5 batters and walked another 3 or 4. He bounced numerous pitches. I felt bad for him. It wasn't a lack of effort certainly, he just doesn't look like a pitcher. Why Walt would leave him out there for as long as he did is beyond me. No point to it. The second reliever was much better and did a decent job, though he also got hit. Oh, and for the record, Ryle did absolutely nothing to run up the score. Completely emptied the bench, stopped running and taking extra bases. changeup
The JV game was Ryle 17-1. Not trying to be mean, but in my opinion the St. Henry Baseball program is a shadow of what it once was.
History
Yeah I like Walt and you have to respect his major league playing career, but I think his interest lies in the Kentucky Colonels not the St. Henry Crusaders.
