Anyone else have a problem with the KY all-star coach not having his contract renewed. When will Administrators tell parents to let them run the school? A friend of mind said the demise of education came when they quit making former coaches principals. I can't disagree!!!!!!!!!

Coach Adams is a good man and a good coach, however I don't know anything about the situation or the local politics there. It is too bad that he has not been treated more respectfully on the home front, but the state-wide honor of coaching the Kentucky All-Star is certainly an ironic twist that indicates that he is held in high esteem way beyond the county line. All I can say is good luck Coach Adams, I wish you the best!

It seems that the time-tested benefits that coaches and sports participation provide to players and students are not worthwhile in administrative circles any more. After all, they are only important life-lessons that have nothing to do with meeting educational standards on a state or national testing device.

Because of state-level legislation, modern-day administrators are more and more concerned with butt-covering maneuvers, as they just don't want parental phone calls from folks who cannot buffalo an experienced coach, they don't want to be asked tough questions by experienced coaches, and by eliminating experienced coaches they have found a way of cutting costs. So ... the easy out appears to be just to let 'em go. What a shame!

I was at two tryout sessions this past weekend in Campbellsville.Man what a tough job of picking a team. There where at least 28 out of the 39 who i saw with a shot of making the team.Coach Adams and his staff where very prepared and ran a great tryout from what I saw and heard from other coaches..Good luck to him and the Ky. team the rest of the way..

Couldn't have said it any better retropop!!
