OK. I found the one exception to the "batter is always out on BI."

 

If a runner is trying to advance from third base and the batter interferes and there are less than two outs the runner on third is called out.

well disregard everything I said here, because after re-reading the initial thread, somehow I missed the part about the batter bumping the catcher... I would try to explain what I was thinking, but I'm not sure myself. Its called old age.
