Another win for the Bulldogs (2-0) with a big shot from senior Nick Fuller who went 2-3 with a homerun along with senior Jacob Wells who went 2-3. Finally, senior Tyler Gregory pitched a complete game giving up only two runs and striking out 8.

Wow! Are the Bulldogs going to be strong all year? A Region Contender???

^^^ I don't know about being a region contender, but Holmes has a very experienced senior group this year.

 

Gregory and Wells have seen varsity time since they were freshmen and this senior class has played together for quite some time now at the varsity level. They took their lumps the past two years, but this might be the year that they finally start winning some of the close games they've lost the past few years.

 

At this point, I wouldn't put them on the same level as Boone, Ryle, Conner, Newcath, or Dixe.

 

You never know though. I can remember 5 or 6 years ago when Holmes had a similar team and knocked off a very good Covcath and Dixie team.
