jbwill2 Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Some threads here on BGP have talked about the 2010 preseason scrimmages. In these threads there has been some discussion about the importance of playing a high-level opponent in the scrimmage. My question is: does it matter how good your scrimmage opponent is? Does playing a scrimmage against a great team help a team more than playing against a mediocre team?
CoachBuckett Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 I think so. I think you want to accomplish two things in a scrimmage. 1. You want to find your weakness. 2. You want to find the kids that are going to make plays. You can't do that scrimmaging just anyone.

cammando Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 I like to scrimmage a team with lots of speed.. That's one of the hardest things to simulate in practice..
