Don't forget that in 2006 Sacred Heart's 3-time defending champs did not even make the 7th region tournament as one of the top 2 or 3 best teams in the state. The other teams in their district voted for a blind draw and not a seeded draw. The blind draw forced two top ten teams SHA and Assumption to play in the first round of the district.

Assumption prevailed that night eliminating Sacred Heart from a chance at a

4-peat. Not fair for either team to play such a game as the first game of a district. LexCath probably enjoyed the results of this game as it helped pave their way to the championship.
