For one of the few times in school history, North Laurel's girls have defeated South Laurel at South.

 

North led by as much as 15 points and by double digits most of the game. South trailed by 13 and made a furious comeback in the final minutes but fell short. North has a lot of youth (only 2 seniors are really seeing much PT) and recovered from the past 4-5 games where they haven't played as well as they did early.

I really enjoyed the game last night. I thought that NL really played well and basically handled SL the entire game. I felt that North would have some trouble with the press because, in the games that I have seen, they usually do. But they had built a big enough lead to hang on at the end. Big win for the Lady Jags!

I only caught the 4th quarter, but it was a very exciting game.

Saw both teams in the Candy Cane Classic. Good teams, and very well coached.
