What does Johnson Central need to do to improve in 2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

As seems to always be the case with JC the running game is going to be good again, but the passing game will need some work. With a couple of good young RB's it will be fun to see how many yards these guys can rack up.

Is Johnson Central going to open the season with Boyle County at home? There had been some rumblings that the coach wanted to opt for the buyout and schedule someone else.

My understanding is that Matney said something about cancelling the game when he was very emotional and hot under the collar after last year's game (that he probably regrets saying) but intends to play the game this year. Frankly, with the qb and 2 of the 3 running backs returning, he'd be stupid to cancel the game. The fumble problems (which even the most partisan Boyle fan should acknowledge played a pivotal role in the blowout) that were caused by a first year qb being in the position of deciding to "give or to take" are gone due the qb returning, plus the game is at JC. My guess is that old Matney has been reminding the boys of the embarrassing loss to Boyle last year since the off season workouts began after their last game of last year.
