What has Spencer Co done so far in their season?

 

While I'm not sure I agree with funtowatch that Spencer is a dark-horse contender for the region, I'm very impressed with Spencer County; the Bears are just stuck in a tough situation in the 30th vs. Anderson and Shelby, who look to be the top 2 in that district.

 

Logan Dunbar is a mobile, strong player who is averaging around a double-double. He gets up and down the floor and is a bull inside, with a decent jumper.

 

I really enjoyed watching the Bears against North Oldham in a closer-than-the-score-indicates loss in Goshen.

 

At 11-2, Spencer is off to a great start, record-wise, but the Bears really haven't played any top-tier teams yet (although North Oldham has the potential to make the top tier). Their toughest opponents have been North Oldham (5-8, who beat the Bears by 14 in Goshen), North Bullitt (6-7; the Bears have split with North Bullitt), and Hancock County (7-8).

Do you see Spencer Co maybe having a chance to get out of their district? Seeing that they'll prolly be playing Anderson?

I think the seeding is going to give them their best shot - I don't think they match up as well against Shelby - but it's going to probably be a long shot. Still, they have their best shot at getting out of the district in a long time. They're a fun team to watch.
