I think that the thing that hurt Scott County most, and probably caused them to finally drop out of the Top 10, was that they seemed to be getting worse instead of better at the end of the season. They lost both of their last two regular season games at home to good but unranked Lafayette and Fern Creek teams.

 

However, I'm sure the Cardinals will cause some problems for their opponents in the playoffs. It seems like they always do. :thumb:

In our region we have all beat up on each other. GRC beat Lafayette, Lafayette beats Scott Co, Scott Co beats GRC, and it goes on. Hard to rank these teams. Will be interesting to see who come out of this region, as there are several teams that could win it.

Maybe GRC has been getting players back from injuries, while Scott County has been suffering some injuries. Lafayette, on the other hand, has yo-yo'ed up and down all season.

 

Anyhow, as you've noted, the top three teams in District 7 are evenly matched. If I were to rank them in 6A, I would place them all between 11-15.

Actually we have lost players, just took awhile for others to step up. But we did have to wait 3 games on Cory Rogers, he missed some practices due to basketball AAU. Also believe that the drilling by Scott Co, woke our players up, and they were determined to finish out the season strong and make some noise in the playoffs. We are a dangerous team right now. I agree on Lafayette, you never know which team will show up.

 

I really was impressed with McCaden he is a great athlete.

:thumb: When I watched HC vs Sk I thought HC was the fastest team I have seen all year. And yes I've seen Highlands. HC is faster. :ylsuper:

Thanks for your input. It is hard to tell who will win, I still look for a suprise team to come out of this region.

Ballard has played very consistant this season, while Fern Creek has been very erratic. If the Tiger team who defeated Scott Co. (27-19) shows up against Ballard, then Fern Creek has a chance for an upset. However, if the Tiger team who lost to Shelby Co. (39-13) and Male (55-13) shows up against Ballard, the Bruins will destroy Fern Creek. By the way, all of the games noted occured in the last three games of the season.
