The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers soccer team is having a great season! Hopefully they can continue their excellent play into the tournaments.

Grant County falls to the St Patrick Lady Saints in what was a very wet, cold and muddy game At the half it looked like Grant County might pull off the win but St. Patrick dominated the second half for a 6 to 2 victory. Both schools will play in the regional tournament for the first time.

Hopkinsville Lady Tigers will play Caldwell County tomorrow night in the 2nd region championship. Hoptown will have to play without Bennett Peck, the school's all-time leading scorer. She tore her meniscus on Tuesday night in the semifinals against Trigg County.

Correction--forgot today was Wednesday!

Tonight's paper says that Bennett strained her MCL, but regardless she is out for the rest of the season. Thankfully she is only a junior.

In Boys 13th Region Action, Franklin County will play Woodford County Thursday night for the region championship. This is a rematch of the district championship, which was one of the best games I have ever watched with Franklin County winning 2-1 by the golden goal.

Fort Campbell boys play Todd County tonight for the 2nd Region Championship. Good luck Falcons!
