gold sunrise Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 What does Trimble County need to do to improve in 2009/2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
Tiger0334 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 The Raiders have a strong sophomore class. The have a couple of key additions in the junior class as well. They only have a couple of players wilth a lot of Varisty experience so they will be young this year. They do have a favorable schedule outside of the NCKC and the district games so that will be good for the young kids to get some experience. Their first 7 games are going to be extremely tough. The Raiders are about a year away from really being a really good team, but they will shock some people this year and win some games that people don't give them a chance of winning as they grow.

I agree with Tiger's assessment. This is going to be a rebuilding year for the Raiders. I watched them play several games this summer and there was tremendous improvement from the first game until the last. They are going to have to focus on playing as a team and someone needs to step up and lead them.
ColonelMike Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 This is what Bob Lauster needs... a group of youngsters he can put into Varsity action early on, and then develop. This is one of the best coaches I've ever seen at maxxing out the abilities of his players - and then getting more. Interestingly...not that terribly long ago, it was also at Trimble County that a similar coach was taking a little talent and turning it into regional appearances...Jim Hurst. Best of luck to the Raiders.
