What does Raceland need to do to improve in 2009/2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

I was told they lost Brooke Keeton she transfered to another school. Any truth to this. Also I think they have to improve on ballhandling seems like the guards panic with they get pressured.

Why?

I really don't know why. I don't know Brooke personally and I don't know her situation. I do wish her well. St. Joe has a really good basketball program. I do believe she has verbally committed to Furman.

I have heard that Taylor Lacks (G) has been looking good in pre season scrimmages. I look for Taylor to have a very good season. I have also heard that the Massey girl is not playing this season, no info on why.

Also, the Daily Independent (Ashland paper) area basketball preview comes out today, they usually put out a very good preview of both the boys and girls teams.

Coach Trimble has some experience returning and is looking for a good season. Trimble's comments in the annual ADI preview were he had a mixture of some talented returnees with youth and this was an extremely hard working group.

Coach Trimble imo has done a wonderful job with the girls program at Raceland, he has taken it from just having a team every year to having a "girls basketball program" getting the youth involved and changing work ethics, attitudes and expectations.

FWIW....The Lady Rams got off to a good start last night beating Bath Co. I dont recall the exact final score, but it was around a 28 point victory for Raceland.
