September 12, 200917 yr  The Braves have made about 4 or 5 errors in the 8th inning to give this game away. They were up 5-4 going into the inning and Escobar missed a ball right on his glove, Chipper made an error on a possible double play, Prado made an error on a double play, Gonzalez threw a wild pitch, and then Prado missed a tag on another double play ball. It's now 6-5 Cardinals.
September 12, 200917 yr Wow. Braves load the bases with 0 outs and McCann hits a double off the wall. They got the lead back 7-6 with 0 outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd.
September 12, 200917 yr Braves win again! They will most likely lose tomorrow though, they can never sweep a good team . They do better against good teams though than they do the bad ones. They usually get swept by the bad teams.
September 13, 200917 yr I'm following every NFL game and the Braves game on CBSSPorts.com. And the Braves are surprisingly up 6-0 right now on St.Louis. They scored 6 runs off Carpenter in the 3rd inning. Wow...now if Vazquez can hold this that would be nice.
September 13, 200917 yr Author Braves win 9-2 and sweep the Cardinals. Braves have won 5 of 6 after being swept by the Reds.
September 13, 200917 yr If the Braves could play well against the weaker teams, they would be doing great right now. But getting swept by teams like the Reds is very hard to over come. Now if they can win the series with the Mets and then sweep the Phillies...that would be ideal.
September 13, 200917 yr Author They definitely need to sweep the Phillies to even have a shot at the division. McLouth and Hudson have been very key for the Braves during the last 2 weeks.
September 13, 200917 yr Author Braves finish the season against Mets Phillies Washington Florida Mets Washington I believe it's in that order. When the Phillies begin their series against the Braves it will start a 10 game road trip for them. Hopefully they will do really bad, and really have to in order for the Braves to have a chance.
September 13, 200917 yr Like I said, sweeping Philly would be great. I'd also expect them to at least win both series' with the Mets, and Washington. If they go 2-1, 3-0, 3-0, 1-2, 2-1, 3-0 they would finish 90-72. That still might not get them in though.
September 13, 200917 yr Author In order for the Braves to win the division they would need Philadelphia to go 7-14 in their last 21 games while the Braves go 13-6. That would give the Braves a 1 GB division lead. depending on the tiebreaker, I think the Braves currently hold the head-to-head tiebreaker.
