Whether you like it or not the vast majority of Muslims and teachings in the Qur'an are very peaceful.

 

I think most in the first half are, not so much the second half. But I'm sure you already knew that.

What do mean Muslim race? If you honestly believe that most of those countries in the middle east are not predisposed to violence, then who is being the ignorant one here. Those people have been fighting since the dawn of time. If you want to take up for them, eat dinner with them, have tea time with them than be my guest.

A lot of people miss that part. A lot of people miss the part about sharks being dangerous too, until they lose an arm and leg

 

 

I try to make a stand against ignorance, but people seem to know more than anyone else, so why bother. People seem to think that we live on fantasy island where there is no such thing as violent races of people. Everyone lives in harmony with one another and life is just full of craps and giggles.

 

Since Indonesians are ethnically similar to Chinese, Vietnamese, Cambodians and Laotians (mostly Buddhist) and Filipinos (mostly Christian), what "race" do they fall under? They aren't Arab, which is what most people mistakenly refer to as "the Muslim race."

 

Bottom line: The human race is violent by nature. Modernity decreases the likelihood of violence. The fact that most Muslim countries are stuck in a 13th Century time warp leads more to their violent nature than their religion.

 

While Indonesia has its issues with Muslim extremism (just like anywhere else with a large number of religious zealots), it is still a far sight better about this than your typical Muslim Republic in the Middle East -- especially when you consider the population size of the country compared to its Middle Eastern cousins-by-religion.

Yeah I was talking about Muslims in General, not the ones in Indonesia. I actually forgot the topic was Indonesia. And for the record, I never once said anything about "Muslim Race." People were putting words in my mouth.
