gamer31 Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 That since there is spring football, there should be fall baseball at the high school level? Maybe in September or October? If it puts football ahead of the game, don't you think that a month of baseball would be alright too?

If it puts football ahead of the game, don't you think that a month of baseball would be alright too? I would think that if a High School baseball player does not play a fall sport for his high school, then he could/should play fall baseball. I do not think that most high schools would have enough players to put a school team together. Most serious high school players can easily find a team to play fall ball with.
ft bronc Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 This is a little off topic, but I know the NCAA has been giving serious consideration to scheduling a small amount of regular season games in the fall. With the new later spring start date in college baseball (instituted theoretically to help northern schools), it's getting difficult for schools to get all the games in during the spring w/o wearing the kids out physically, or hurting them academically.
gamer31 Posted August 3, 2009 Author Posted August 3, 2009 I dont think games in the fall are a necessity, but to have coached practices on the field like spring football practice is what I was referring to....
PAPA PIGSKIN Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 I know of some organizations that have fall ball for high school players. However, high school coaches can't coach their players until February 15th.
