July 22, 200917 yr Author Braves do have to climb over top these teams to even make it a more realistic race but I don't see the Cubs staying in it much longer and the Braves could inch closer to passing the Giants depending on the rest of this series. After this series concludes the Braves will travel to Milwaukee for a 3 game series against the Brewers. Then after that the Braves play no one in which they are in the Wild Card race with. Braves play a lot of games against the Phillies, Marlins, and Mets. It'll be a tough schedule for the Braves but if they can continue to play the Phillies the way they have thus far then the Braves may have a chance.

July 23, 200917 yr Author Braves slowly gaining pace and creating some space between them and most of the other teams. A win tomorrow would be huge, and if the Rockies and/or Phillies lose then the Braves have some serious momentum.
July 23, 200917 yr Author Game is tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 4th. Sandoval hit a RBI double in the 1st for the Giants and Escobar hit a solo homerun for the Braves.
July 23, 200917 yr Looks like the Braves are going to lose this one. 3-1 in the series with the Giants isn't bad. Just need to keep winning each series and they will keep improving.
July 23, 200917 yr Author Next up is a series against the Brewers. But on a note, being 1-1 in the 8th without McCann or Anderson was pretty good for the Braves. There were a lot of miscues in the 8th inning that led to the Braves getting beat.
