The only other North Laurel player to win this award was Becky Abner, who won it twice. (2001 & 2002).

Congrats to Miss Taylor. These are the type of kids that are my favorite. Remember when G.J. Smith played in the state tourney with a broken foot.

Tough kids always have a special place for me. Megan is one of those kids. I forgot all about GJ playing in the state tourney with a broken foot. Another good example.

Is she going on to college to play ball? Where? They will be getting a good one.

She is just a junior. She will be a senior this fall. Not sure on colleges, but she will definitely get some looks. She is a terrific kid from a very supportive family who did all the summer travel ball. What makes her season more amazing is that she was coming off major reconstructive surgery on her knee when she blew her ACL (I think) last summer in travel ball. She is a very quiet unassuming kid who flips the switch when she steps in the circle. She will be even better next season and that is scary. North Laurel always seems to have another great pitcher waiting in the wings. She showed last year in the state tourney that she had the ability and now that she has the confidence, she will be yet another special North Laurel pitcher. :thumb:

Way to go, Megan! Seems like yesterday I was watching her pitch as a sixth-grader.
