Not so sure a rematch would result in anything all that different. Bracken played Montgomery extremely close on two occasions--taking them to 10 innings in one match-up. And Montgomery & Clark have played each other tight since forever--1-0 MC win recently.

 

And the All A had some really solid teams. BC had late inning leads in both games they lost. Not saying the All A teams are better than Clark, but they're much closer than in the past. And Clark has a tough district foe in Bourbon Co., who is playing about as well as anyone in the 10th right now. This week alone, they've beaten Harrison & Bracken.

 

I think the 10th is as balanced as it has ever been. Any one of a half-dozen teams could realistically win this thing. I think Montgomery is the favorite (and host of the tourney?), but it is as wide open as it's ever been.

End of the regular season play(when nothing matters) and district and region play are extremely,extremely different which is why would be shocked if anyone other than Montgomery or Clark wins region

A non-40th district team has won the 10th region only twice in fastpitch history, Harrison Co. in 1995 and Bishop Brossart in 2002......and both 40th district teams have been in the championship game for the past five years.

That's a strong softball district, Paris is not too shabby of an A school softball team amongst the Big 3.

Why would a writer mention something like that?

 

Hamilton seems to have strong ties to Bracken County, the way he writes sometimes is like he is writing for the Bracken County News
