The Closer Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Final in 7 innings at Scott. Sowder gets the win in a well pitched game between him and Smallwood.
nkychamp21 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 (edited) Chamberlain for Dixie. Edited May 13, 2009 by Ram Rule 13
SHS EAGLE Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 The Sowder kid seems to be becoming the Ace of the Scott staff this year. This kid is only and Junior wow 1 more year on the Varsity staff. Scott seems to have the hitting and pitching to make a post season run but their defense could be the downfall only time will tell. Wish them all the luck and hope they make a deep post season run.
grandpa1951 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Scott is peaking at a pretty good time. Right in time for the tournys to start!
Blueflyer Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I dont see how Scott is peaking at the right time when they lost to Conner 9-3 on Monday. When Sowder is on the mound and EJ is at short they are pretty good defensively and are solid all around. After Sowder, Murray, and Sparks who comes next in the rotation? This could hurt the Eagles come tourney time and they have to play consecutive games in a row.

You are right I don't see how they could be peaking at the right time when they lost to Conner on Monday. However when they play good defense they win games seems like the offense always shows up. I don't believe this years Eagles team can compare to last years with pitching and defense but offensively they seem to be a better all around hitting team compared to last years team. I think if the Eagles make it out of districts it just depends on the draw they get in the Region. The potential is there if the pitching and defense can stay above average because the offense is definately peaking right now.:ylsuper:
nkychamp21 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Lessley seemed to touch up Sowder pretty well though.
