Track the Cubs (Week 6)

Did anyone see Milton Bradley's homer last night?!? Upper deck to straight away center:scared:

He's batting over .300 over the last 6 games. Hopefully he's coming around. Don't look now but they're only 1.5 back and Big Z is nearing his return. Just need to get Rami back and keep the rest healthy.

My husband said "that one's in the concession stand!"

Don't look now but the Cubs are only .5 back. They've got an identical record to what they had at the same point last year. That's impressive considering how poorly they've played this year. Geo hit his first dinger of the year last night, Theriot hit 2 and Soriano hit his 11th of the season. Bradley has been swinging the bat much better. Big Z is supposed to be back on the 22nd. We get Rami back by the All star break and stiffen up the Pen and I like our chances

Cubs finish off a sweep of the Fathers today 11-3, to improve to 20-14. Lookout, here come the Cubs!

Cubs win their 5th in a row! They took a 4 run lead into the 9th, give up 4, but good Ole Latroy Hawkins comes thru for the Cubs and the Cubs win it in the bottom of the 9th with a Soriano single!

As long as Kevin Gregg is the closer, I will never feel safe with a lead. Hendry dropped the ball on not bringing Wood back.

Wood has a 6.0 ERA right now....

I imagine we've seen the end of Gregg as closer. I think Marmol will take the closer roll and look for the Cubs to make a trade for more pen help before the deadline. Wells has looked good though.
