Final from Stanford. Somerset trailed 6-3 in the 6th but scored 7 and added 2 more in the 7th for the comeback win. Nice road win for Somerset who had to play several players out of postion and hold out their top 2 pitchers. The Jumpers play Pulaski in a seeding game on Thursday and in the All A sectional on Saturday so freshman Jarred Price started the game. He had some control trouble but kept Somereset in the game until the bats got going. Starting catcher Storm Wilson was out with a sore arm, and with Price the backup catcher pitcher Somerset had to move 3rd baseman Otie Manning behind the plate and 2nd baseman Aaron Dockery to 3rd base. Dockery delivered the go ahead 2 run single and Spohmore Erik Manning came on in relief of Price to pitch 2 2/3 scoreless innings to pick up the win. Erik also hit a 2 run homer in the 7th for insurance. The Briar Jumpers move to 10-3 on the year with the win.

I don't recall hearing those names tonight so they must not have played. Lincoln has a solid ballclub but their pitching struggled tonight. Somerset was on the edge of having a big inning a couple of times before breaking through. Are the 2 Lincoln players injured? What number starter started for the Patriots, I believe his name was Hensley. Weir is their number 1 isn't he?

Also heard that the Owens kid broke his hand against Somerset.

Lincoln and Boyle play Thur. If Weir cant play and Roobles is still suspended and Hensley pitched against Somerset who do they have left to pitch?
