Gallatins bats were silent for the first 3 innings, Maddox doubled bringing in a run, Giles hit a home run and hit a double bringing a run across the plate. Tanner Miles pitched a good game for Gallatin.

 

Neeley was the winning pitcher for Owen.

Big win for the Rebels. Hopefully they can get on a roll heading into a very tough weekend vs. Tates Creek, Ballard, and Dunbar.

Neeley threw a two hitter through 5, one earned run, and 6 k's. He was dominent on the mound.

Depends on the definition of enough ? Enough to win all these games, if they do then pencil them in to Applebees for the state championship. Enough to compete day to day? If they can do this and remain competitive they are a strong team. Enough to last 5 innings in most of these games would say alot about the team as a whole. Not only do they need the good pitching but the defense has to be solid enough to not give away outs. If the defense can get outs on plays they should make and minmize the pitch counts that will help. This is the case with any team, but with this schedule if you dont make the routine plays it could get ugly quick. Having said that hats off to Owen for scheduling these games. If the Rebels can handle the mental side of this if it doesnt go their way they will be a much better team come tournament time.

I think it is Ballard Memorial not Louisville Ballard in this tournament. Ballard Memorial is a Class A school from far west KY on the Ohio River meets the Mississippi

I know that the KHSAA website shows on Owen County's schedule that it is Ballard Memorial but it is in fact Louisville Ballard. It is just a mistake on the scoreboard.

Glad to see Maddox back on the field. He was missed.
