What does Mercer County need to do to improve in 2009? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Mercer lost a ton of talent. 26 seniors.

 

Of the starters from last year, I think they return:

 

On offense QB, G, T, & WR.

 

On defense S, S, CB, & Nose

 

Lost all RBs, LBs, and most of both lines.

 

Also, no one seems to know 100% if Jaggers will be the coach next year. I'm assuming he is, but no one is giving a straight answer.

I hadn't thought much about it until just now, but I guess he still is the coach, nothing has changed.

 

 

I think it'll be interesting to see how next year's sophomores contribute. Kids like Elijah Mayes, Isaiah Burris, Matthew Sims, and Kevin Peavler have the ability to contribute and depending on the depth chart may get that opportunity. Next year's sophomores will bring some more beef to the team. They are some big boys.

 

Donovan Ellis should become a bright spot, he is very talented.

 

I really like the athleticism of Andrew Cornish. I think he has the tools to become a great great player as long as he keeps growing and maturing.
